5 REASONS We Love Aquavit

Our Aquavit is a new take on the traditional Scandinavian caraway spirit. The versatility and history of aquavit provide for a wide range of interpretations, and that’s one reason why we continue to produce it as one of the spirits in our portfolio. Here are five other reasons why we love distilling a traditional Scandinavian spirit right here in Wisconsin.

  1. SCANDINAVIA - Aquavit or Akvavit as it’s known abroad, has been produced in Scandinavia since the 15th century.

  2. CARAWAY - It’s the main ingredient that makes aquavit, well aquavit! Often anise, cumin, dill and many other botanicals are at play.

  3. PRODUCTION - Made with our own neutral spirit produced exclusively from Midwestern grown wheat and barley, our Aquavit is pot distilled and aged in Rye Whiskey barrels for added complexity.

  4. AGE - While many aquavits are bottled unaged, we love the depth that can be added from lightly aging aquavit.

  5. FOOD PAIRING - Aquavit is best paired with  smoked fish, cheeses and pickled vegetables, but you really can’t go wrong when you combine aquavit with the perfect meal.
